On February 14, 2023, we received a request for financial assistance from the mother-in-law of Nutan Kumar, a paraplegic who was recently admitted to Sri Balaji Hospital, Guntur for treatment of a tumor in his stomach. Nutan Kumar had suffered a serious accident four years ago that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He is married and has two children, a son, and a daughter. His wife works as a housekeeper to support the family and their children's education.
Nuthan means "a fresh One" and our desire was to give im a fresh life. Hence we decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 which they were looking for from the total expected expense of Rs 80,000 needed for his surgery. We hoped that this contribution would help ease the financial burden on the family and ensure that Nutan Kumar receives the necessary medical treatment to recover from his condition.
The surgery was successfully completed, and we received an update from the family expressing their gratitude. They conveyed that the surgery had been successful, and Nutan Kumar was recovering well. The family was overwhelmed with the generosity shown towards them and thanked us for our timely assistance.
Nutan Kumar's situation is a reminder of the difficulties that individuals and families face when dealing with unexpected medical emergencies. The financial burden can be overwhelming, particularly for those who are already struggling to make ends meet. As a community, we must do more to support those who are going through such difficult times.
In conclusion, providing assistance to Nutan Kumar and his family was a small but meaningful contribution as a fellow human being which is love in action.
It will be joy to see to people showing love in action. Our action speaks louder than words.
Thank you!
