The Outreach Foundation had the privilege of visiting Mr. Samuel's food ministry and shelter home in Secunderabad. Mr. Samuel is a remarkable man who provides free food to the needy every morning and also cares for those who have been abandoned by their families and society.
Many of the people who come to Mr. Samuel's shelter are wounded and broken, with nowhere else to go. He takes complete care of them, nursing them back to health and helping them find work or return to their hometowns. For those who have no one to turn to, Mr. Samuel offers a home where they can learn new skills and start anew.
We were touched by Mr. Samuel's story of how he was once on the verge of committing suicide but was saved in the last moment. From that day on, he dedicated his life to helping others. The visit to his shelter was truly inspiring, as we saw firsthand how he has touched the lives of so many.
During our visit, we identified that Mr. Samuel's food ministry could benefit from a hydroponics stand to grow pesticide-free greens. This would provide a sustainable supply of fresh produce for the food ministry while also allowing the inmates to learn new skills and take an active role in the ministry.
The stories we heard from the inmates at Mr. Samuel's shelter were heart-wrenching, yet inspiring. They shared with us their journeys of hardship and how Mr. Samuel had offered them a new chance at life. We were moved by their resilience and determination to build a better future for themselves.
In conclusion, our visit to Mr. Samuel's food ministry and shelter home was an emotional experience. We were struck by the selflessness and dedication of Mr. Samuel and his team in helping those in need. The hydroponics stand will be a small yet impactful contribution to their work, and we hope to continue supporting them in the future.
