It’s our hearts desire to help people in need as many as possible. With this aim in mind, we, Outreach Foundation, as an organization are always on the lookout for those who need help. We believe that our reachout should just not be a one time donation but a relationship that builds hope and empowers those with whom we work with.
On one such lookout , it came to our attention through one of our partners that there is a home nearby for HIV infected children and families.
Immediately we got ready to reach out and sent a team to visit the care lead.
There we got to know that the Care facility provides medical support, tablets, vitamins and supplements to the infected families and children and also provides food provision to some families that cannot afford it.
As a followup, the foundation core team visited the facility and interacted with few families. The interaction was an eye opener and every one has an unique situation to handle with. We could speak words of hope and courage and could share the most precious gift called "Love". During our conversation we found that the kids are going to school and they spend approximately Rs80 a day for transport to school. And with this health challenge , with both hope and health on the low, a drain of money like Rs 80 per day is heavy. Keeping this in heart, we got to work to eliminate this cost to the children and their families pay.
We sponsored four bicycles to the 4 children within a period of 10 days from the visit, with the hope that the kids could now go to school with joy, saving the Rs80 per day which can total up to RS 1600 a month and release that for some other expenses.
Outreach foundation also took it upon itself to even supply the monthly tablets and vitamin supplements for few families at the care facility. Lightening this small burden for others has blessed us beyond our imagination.
