I remember a couplet which says, " When you see a loved one suffering nothing can stop the tears from rolling on your cheeks". And yes, my visit along with the team to a centre which houses children infected with HIV was an emotional moment. This is not the first time I ever visited but when I saw the beautiful children, their talents and their desire to excel in their life had its impact.
Their God ordinated parent of about 27 children was sharing what made her to share her everything with these most unfortunate kids and light a hope though her love and it is a wonderful story that needs to be shared separately. We saw a little girl who parents died when she was just 17 months old and also infected by HIV. The hospital connected with the organiser of this home Ms.Grace and she responded by visiting the hospital to see a little weak baby who have turned charcoal black. She picked the child, kept the child in her home along with her own children for the next three years and then moved her to the children home that she is running. We had an opportunity to talk to this little girl who is now a beautiful little girl, studying in a school and desiring to be a medical doctor.
We wanted to plant a seed of love, hope and light and adopted two children to cover their educational fees till they complete their schooling. Thank you, for be a part of “us” and “we”. We then spent time with kids encouraging them, sharing some sweets and drinks. Believe me, such time of fellowship is the most worth a time spent.
